About the Game

Zombie Quest is an EGA text adventure with a mix of comedy and horror that does not hold back on low resolution violence and gore. Imagine if a splatter movie made in the first half of the 80s were made into a game with the graphics of games from the first half of the 80s, then you have Zombie Quest. With gameplay in the veins of early adventure games, you type your actions.

Story

Rutger was a humble DMV clerk who was enjoying himself a little too much one evening and blacked out from drinking. After waking up, with no memory of the previous night, on the floor of a public bathroom lying face-down in what he hopes is his own vomit, he finds himself in a world where the dead walk the earth. Now he needs to survive in a world where almost everything wants him dead, and all he has is his wit to help him survive. You need to guide him through a quest filled with obscure puzzles to make it out alive and save the human race.

Along the way he will encounter other survivors, some friendly, some insane, some helpful, and some useless.
