About the Game

Wyrmgate is a turn-based online RPG in the spirit of classic browser combat clubs: pick a strike zone, roll d20 initiative and fight across nine battle formats — from road ambushes to co-op dungeons.

Combat you win with your head

Every round opens with a d20 + dexterity initiative roll, like at a tabletop. You choose a strike zone — head, body, waist or legs — and block an adjacent pair of zones, reading your opponent. 36 class abilities, spells and cantrips across Warrior, Cleric and Sorcerer, plus 26 combat effect types: bleed, poison, burn, shields, stuns, summons and auras. One engine honestly runs nine battle formats — from duels to pack fights and third-party interventions.

Loot worth fighting for

5 races and 3 classes with their own mechanics; the Warrior gets 4 playable specializations. Items roll three rarities and a catalog of 70+ affixes, so no two drops are alike. Enhance gear from +1 to +5 at the risk of losing progress, and reshape it with five ARPG-style enchanting spheres: transformation, alteration, exaltation, chaos, divinity. Plus alchemy, salvaging and herb gathering on the road.

PvP that doesn't need you online

PvP is semi-asynchronous: duels, direct attacks and road ambushes resolve even when your opponent has logged off. Set an ambush — and any traveler of your level walks into a fight. Win, and you take gold, consumables, and may even strip an equipped item. The Mirkhollow arena runs elimination tournaments with Elo rating every hour. Newcomers below level 3 are fully protected from PvP.

A living dark-fantasy world

14 locations on an interactive map: hub towns, roads and PvE zones. No teleports — travel happens in real time with route modes and random encounters. 42 monster types from goblins to liches; the bestiary accumulates knowledge of every species and grants permanent mastery bonuses. Four solo dungeons and a co-op dragon lair for a party of 2–5 heroes — Karkulak the Split Fang awaits at the end. Town reputation unlocks discounts and privileges — or brands you a criminal. And the trance mode lets your hero auto-farm mastered monsters for up to 8 hours a day.
