About the Game

Pulse and Pretense: A Village of Veiled Truths

You are an apprentice of a traditional Chinese medicine herbalist in South Village. Every day, villagers and outsiders pass in front of you. Your task is deceptively simple: diagnose and take the pulses of villagers, and check the road guide documents of outsiders.

This is a suspense game that combines traditional Chinese medicine pulse diagnosis with Chinese horror. Through hand-drawn line drawing and meticulous brushwork, you will immerse yourself in a mysterious and enigmatic village. Examine the pulse, ask about the symptoms and verify the identity to expose the hidden "false people" from the diagnostic details. As plague spreads, even reality begins to rot...

Game Features:

The hand-drawn style is paired with a text that is terrifying to think about, and the writing style is inspired by Lu Xun and Howard Phillips Lovecraft.

By observing the pulse, symptoms and conversations, you can determine whether the villagers are normal or have been replaced by "something".

From daily pulse diagnosis to joint fight against the epidemic, the secrets behind the village have gradually come to light...
