Within the Unknown is a first-person, psychological indie horror game where you regain your memory and relive the trauma from your dark past in a sci-fi simulation.
Upon waking up with no recollection of who you are, explore an abandoned farm to uncover the mysteries behind you and your family. As a human subject, your endurance and sanity will be tested as you experience the nightmares your mind has conjured in this simulation.
Relive flashbacks through tvs showing a car wreck with your daughter and what happened in the cornfield.
There's only one way out of this self-inflicted reality, you must face your fears so you can see them once again.
Core gameplay features crouching, running with stamina with different camera shakes, inventory system with items such as your lighter, keys to unlock areas, and notes from your afflicted wife.
To add some immersion, the lighter will go out when you run and sometimes require a few flicks to ignite. The flashlight you find has the ability to blind the creatures in the cornfield as you search for your daughter.
You can also light candles, reattach mannequin parts, and solve a combination lock.
