About the Game

WITCHHUNTER.exe is an interactive fiction horror game set in a small, rural town besieged by madness, magic, and murder. Only you, the local priest, can exorcise this evil from your town - investigate the five suspected women, put them on trial, then send the guilty back to the Devil.

Choose your own path

Only you can decide who is innocent, and who will be put to the pyre. Explore branching paths and discover the root of evil as you interrogate the residents of your village and decide their fates. Not all of them still have souls.

ACQUIT or CONDEMN

Fear, distrust, and paranoia run rampant and few will submit to your interrogation willingly. Talk peacefully to people to earn their cooperation, or beat them into submission. Non-violence is an option, but the inquisition has always had quicker ways of extracting confessions.

Retro horror

Inspired by the text-based dungeon crawlers of the 80's, navigate through the world by entering commands into your terminal. Type them directly for a retro experience, or simply select the action you want using the UI.

All possible options are displayed to you - no need to memorize or guess the commands! Beware any prompts offered to you by the Devil. He means to lead you astray.
