About the Game

Humanity did not survive the end of the world. It survived beneath it.

In Windwalkers: Below the Storm, you join the crews leading humanity's first major rescue operations back to the surface after war, collapse, and disaster drove civilization underground. Shelter networks still endure below ground, but the world above remains violent, unstable, and only partially reclaimed.

Earlier teams mapped routes, marked temporary safe zones, and pulled scrap from the ruins. That phase is over. Now the objective is bigger: reach farther, recover survivors, secure critical resources, and reopen the surface for human life.

Each mission begins with preparation and ends in uncertainty. Push through wrecked infrastructure, dead industrial zones, buried facilities, and fractured terrain where conditions can change without warning. What starts as controlled recovery work escalates into dangerous rescue deployments where logistics, power, and survival are tied to every decision you make.

Your rover is the backbone of every operation: transport, supply platform, field support unit, and lifeline beyond the shelters. At the core of the experience is a limited power management system that keeps your tools, modular backpack, and mission equipment operational in the field. Direct limited power where it is needed most, manage scarce resources under pressure, and keep your systems alive when the environment turns against you.

The surface is not empty. Rogue drones drift through abandoned sectors. Unfinished war machines still patrol the ruins. Failed human experiments and altered survivors remain trapped in the wreckage of the old world. Beyond them, the planet itself is still breaking apart, with unstable terrain and large-scale environmental threats turning every expedition into a risk calculation.

This is not a routine salvage run.
This is the next phase of humanity's return.

Go above ground. Bring people back alive. Recover what still matters. Build a future beneath the storm.
