About the Game

WELCOME TO THE PLAYGROUND

Welcome to Wilgold's Playground! A tournament with a range of physics based ragdoll platformer challenges in a Time Attack format through checkpoints, orchestrated by the Eternal Emperor and his minions.

The main portion of the game consists of "The Story Of Ray", where you have to get familiar with, and complete handcrafted challenge levels that can be challenging at first, but with some practice they provide a fun and meditative flow.
You can slide or grip on any surface with a physics ragdoll that has limited air and ground control. The result is both fun to watch and experience, as the character dynamically reacts to your inputs and the environment.

As you progress, you will be able to collect medals and unlock further challenges and story levels and characters.

THE STORY OF RAY

Follow the story of Ray Wilgold. A young boy from a small research town, who suddenly finds himself forced to be a contestant in Wilgold's Playground. Follow through his journey, where he has to find a way back home, and out of his unreasonable imprisonment in an unnatural environment that goes against all logic.

THE CHALLENGES

While in Story mode the challenges are trying to get you in a state of 'flow' and speed, in challenge mode, you get to test your skills in a separate group of handcrafted levels, where failure will be the normal. Reaching the end is already an achievement, and even luck might play a role. (Checkpoints are also absent here.)

THE FREEDOM TO SLIDE

In Wilgold's Playground, all contestants are provided with the latest equipment and technologies to gain speed on all terrains. In Playground mode there is no time pressure or checkpoints or goals, just arena style maps, filled with slides and all the mechanics you need. Gain speed and find new paths, whether they are easy or hard to reach.
