About the Game

Suspicious powers always leave traces behind in the mansion.

Who Haunts The Haunters? is a social deduction game set in an East Asian-inspired occult mansion. Do not trust words or movements alone. Listen for strange sounds, watch the candles and shadows, and examine traces left on corrupted objects to expose the Intruders hiding among the Ghosts.

Ghosts must complete missions and purify corrupted mission objects and offering tables to restore Spiritual Stability to 100%. Intruders must corrupt missions and offering tables, use Vanish on Ghosts, and drive Spiritual Stability down to 0% to trigger the Ahgwi Night Hunt.

Whenever an Intruder uses Curse or Vanish, or corrupts a mission or offering table, their Taint rises. Ringing in your ears, gusts of wind, animal cries, flickering candles, distorted shadows, and whispers of vengeful spirits can reveal that someone with high Taint is nearby.

Purifying a corrupted object leaves a trace for a short time. Investigate it to open a Trace Report Meeting. During the meeting, players vote to designate a Watch Target. If the Watch Target interacts with a mission object or uses a suspicious power, the action is added to the Watch Record and revealed at the next Trace Report Meeting.

Once the required conditions have been met and the Ghosts are confident, they can begin a Judgment Ritual to accuse a suspected Intruder. If the accusation is correct, the accused is eliminated. If an innocent Ghost is accused or the vote ends without a decision, the Ghost who began the Judgment Ritual pays the price and is eliminated instead.

When only one Ghost and one Intruder remain, the Ghost may offer three ritual materials at the altar to activate the Final Purification Ritual. Stay alive while the ritual gradually restores Spiritual Stability.

When Spiritual Stability reaches 0%, the Ahgwi Night Hunt begins. Missions and meetings become unavailable, and the remaining Ghosts must hide or run until the final hunt ends.

Do not trust words alone. Read the traces left behind in the mansion.

The game requires at least 3 players. 5 players are recommended.
