Discover the true power of light in Whispers of West Grove, a psychological horror set in a world of growth and decay. Playing as a patient #001 in West Grove Psychiatric Hospital, you find that actions in your dreams affect reality. Using this ability, you can attempt to escape Dr. Kade's increasingly dangerous treatments before it's too late.With a foggy memory, explore your dreams to retrieve items and uncover clues to help you remember your past. However, one must tread carefully when exploring the town of West Grove. Dreams can quickly turn into nightmares when creatures of the asylum start hunting you. Find weapons, supplies, and other characters to aid in your survival. If all else fails, shift the light to outsmart your foes.
This journey will be challenging, with each dream featuring multiple puzzles and enemies designed around it. It is sure to test your combat and puzzle-solving skills.
Sharpen your skills or your knife. Utilize multiple strategies to avoid or engage with enemies. Unique abilities for each weapon allow for offensive and defensive playstyles.
Narrative
IntroBased in the 1960s, you’ve been admitted into West Grove asylum after a serious incident causes a mental breakdown. Being placed in the intensive treatment wing, you’re under the supervision of the lead doctor - Dr. Kade. However something’s not right with him, and once he begins performing increasingly extreme treatments on his patients you realize you’re in danger.
The Dream World
Following a failed lobotomy you lose your ability to speak and that’s when the nightmares begin. Monsters in the shadows, abducted patients, and whispers hinting at what’s to come. These recurring nightmares begin to spill over into the day causing dream and reality to begin to blur. Your only hope is to utilize a mysterious flashlight that alters your perception of the world, but be careful - you don’t want to get lost in fiction…
