I don't think you'll have a choice anymore. Each time it's gotten progressively harder to just wake up and the dream house has only grown more vivid and real. Perhaps there's a reason? Maybe it's finally time. The doors...they need to be opened, so that you may close them for good.

 

I leave myself and the dealings of this nightmare to you.

 

 

 

In this first-person psychological horror game, you find yourself trapped in a nightmare filled with strange sights and oppressive monsters. The only way to escape is to go through each door and face the visions on the other side. But what happens after that is up to you. In What Hides in Dreams, death leaves scars. Being captured by a monster leaves a permanent stain on your psyche that affects the game's story. But the monsters can also perish by your hand, which yields its own consequences.

 

 

 

Explore the nightmare, uncovering the history and personality of the protagonist. Who are they? How do they handle these dark visions? Do they fight back or run and hide? Shape their character according to your actions. But whatever you do, stay alert. You will not always have the chance to fight back when a monster appears, and each one has its own unique method of hunting you down. Use your wits to survive, or suffer the consequences of a shattered mind.

 

 

 

Randomized item placement and monster appearances ensure no two players will have the exact same experience. Solve puzzles with varying solutions. Explore with the timely aid of a flashlight, or slowly navigate an unforgiving darkness. Remain alert everywhere you go, because you'll never know when something might strike.
