Slash, cast, and spell-sing your warband through multiple challenging acts as you slay the horde in fast-paced battles. Choose from three heroes with distinct stats and abilities and find synergies across your run and fight for survival.

Your whole army shares one Synergy Meter that fills during combat — every ability cast, every kill. When it caps, the world drops to a crawl, and you unleash one of several ultimates across the battlefield.

A warband with a lot of grit

Eighteen heroes across six roles — Vanguard, Slayer, Ambusher, Marksman, Arcanist and Warden — with unique ultimates, abilities, and item affinities to discover.

In solo mode, start with three heroes and grow your warband to seven. A full roster allows you to swap a hero out later in the game.

• Select two or three from a role and the whole warband takes the bonus.

• Four ability slots and three item slots per hero, plus a shared pack the whole army draws from.

• Over 250 items — many only unlockable through upgrades later in a run.

Choose upgrade path between battles

• MERCHANT — buy items, and sell back whatever your warband has outgrown.

• ACADEMY — buy new abilities and sharpen the ones your heroes already have.

• FOUNDRY — fuse two items you own and forge ones you cannot find anywhere else.

  
  

Decide your fate

Every ordinary battle can be taken the hard way. Arm each combat with a twist — mutators such as ARMORED, SWARM, VAMPIRIC, GIANTS, FRENZIED, UNDYING and many more — as enemies comes back meaner, with a bounty to match. These are offered as optional battle options.

Fight side by side or against each other

• Invite a friend through Steam for two-player co-op as you climb through the arena in standard or gauntlet mode, chasing for greater highscores on the leaderboard. One shared warband and one road — heroes belong to whoever drafted them, with shareable items and each player summoning their own ultimates.

• Fight against a friend through Steam in pvp, with one player acting as the hero warband and the other recruiting enemies.  This mode allows players to fight against each other through one act.
