About the Game

Vestal is an RPG maker game with a narrative and artistic focus using turn-based combat, exploration and dialogue to progress the story.

You play as Elodie living in the rural and lonely north of Sweden. You are the daughter and apprentice of Karl, a doctor and fallen angel helping the other fallen on earth with their various medical issues.

Begin your first week acting as a healer of fallen angels alongside your father, each day encountering new situations that place unique challenges upon you, using both dialogue and turn-based mechanics to handle the various needs of your patients. Learn about the lives of the fallen, once faithful slaves in service of god and now aimless orphans of the world. Learn about flesh and blood, holy and unholy. Learn about where you fit into it all.

In the evening you are free to explore your home village of Glesböle, meet the locals and act independently of your knowledgeable tutor. Each day will progress the life of the village and its inhabitants, giving you new encounters and places to explore.

features:

  • 6 days of unique medical scenarios and a changing world

  • Character sprites, maps and animations all drawn by hand

  • Turn-based rpg mechanics with the goal of healing rather than killing

  • Religious themes discussed from multiple perspectives

  • Questionable medical ethics
