About the Game

Born from Your Words — Companions All Your Own

From the words you cast, AI brings a "Logos" (a unit) to life. Form a team from the Logos you create and take on the dungeon in turn-based auto battles — Verse of Birth is a roguelike tactical battler that begins with a word. Which words to choose, what build to craft — your words and flashes of inspiration will decide the outcome.

Name, Form, Abilities — All from Your Words

The Logos you bring to life is almost certainly the only one of its kind in the world — a partner found nowhere but at your side. A newborn Logos's traits — its name, its form, its abilities — are all decided by your words. The words you offer are your opening move.

Turn-Based Auto Battles Won by Tactics, Not Luck

Tanks in the front row, supports in the middle, attackers in the back. Build a formation that makes the most of each Logos's strengths. Attacks and skills trigger automatically — your role is to rearrange your Logos and adapt to the flow of battle. Will you pack your allies together to chain their skills, or spread them out to dodge enemy area attacks? Read the enemy's positions and skills, and you should be able to bring down even the toughest foes.

See Through to True Worth, Adapt on the Fly

The dungeon changes with every run. Every skill can take on a completely different meaning depending on when it triggers — and who it targets. Combine the power-ups you gather along the way, like Charms and Pulsers, into a build that exists for this run alone. The more you play, the more combinations you'll want to try.

Modes and Features for the Long Haul

  • 50+ Events — The Logos you've created may unlock unexpected choices.

  • 10-Tier Challenge Mode — A high-difficulty mode that restricts where your Logos can be placed. For players who love the unfair and the absurd.

  • Endless Mode — A boss rush that never stops growing stronger. How far can you get? The proving ground for your miracle build.

[About the Use of AI]

Logos generation uses Adobe Firefly for illustrations, and OpenAI for names and flavor text. A generated Logos is never shared with other players. Enemy and event illustrations are likewise pre-generated with Firefly.

[About Internet Connection and Service Changes]

This game requires an internet connection because Logos generation uses external AI services (Adobe Firefly / OpenAI).

Depending on the status of these external AI services, the way Logos are generated may change. This may change how a Logos's form and name are generated from the words you enter. Logos you have already created are stored in your save data and will remain available. Any changes will be announced in advance via Steam Announcements.
