About the Game

Mine ore, chop logs, gather berries, go fishing and fight back ambushing enemies. Use your resources to forge upgraded gear and unlock newer and faster looting possibilites. Brew speed-boosting potions and cook energy restoring meals.

Train to increase your maximum energy. Rest to restore energy or enjoy watching your Pal just having fun. Give your Pal a good scrub to make them sparkle.

Discover a wardrobe of hats, boots, bath tubs, backpacks, spells, all unlocked through hidden achievments. Unlock completely new Pals.

Your Pal will live with you right on your desktop. As a transparent overlay, your companion exists seamlessly on top of your active windows. Move them, scale them, and let them join you while you browse, watch, or play. Multi-monitor support lets you drag your Pal to whichever screen you want.

Experience a purely visual journey. All interactions are handled through an intuitive, minimalist, icon-based rotary UI that intelligently flips and adjusts its position based on your Pal’s location on screen. No cluttered menus, no text—just icons, atmosphere, and adventure.

Venture Pals lets you decide your own balance between actively grinding and min-maxing your progression, or taking it slow and enjoying things passivlely and AFK. Just make sure not to run out of energy!

About Us

yeah/nice (pronounced yeah, nice) is a small indie studio comprised of two brothers, Aidan and Hunti. Aidan works as the creative side, producing all of the 2D and 3D assets by hand (or mouse). Hunti with his technical background works on all of the coding and project management. Aidan loves for his art to break the traditional moulds and conventions of what a game 'should be'. Hunti hates bloated UI and loves minimal game design. We are highly inspired by high-quality-low-budget projects that show what small teams can achieve when the focus is on making stuff for fun just because it is cool.

Venture Pals is our second commercial game released on Steam. We are passionate gamers and the pace of our development is highly impacted by the release of new games for us to play instead of working.
