Vagrant Shifter is a violent and surreal turn-based psychological horror RPG about life, death, and memories.

  • Control an eclectic cast of aliens, corpses, and one beaver

  • Engage in dynamic turn-based combat featuring a unique positional combat system

  • Grow your stats by eating at pubs and partaking in small talk with your friends

  • Find equipment and learn skills by completing strange and varied side quests

  • Get a vessel. You'll need it.

Your species are shapeshifters. Use this to your advantage.

In a twist on classic turn-based combat, the positioning of your foes matters.

  • Enemies move around strategically during combat

  • Use skills with a variety of target shapes, with some having different effects depending on where they're aimed

  • Control their positions, or use their own movement against them

"You just gonna sit around on your ass all day?"

The world is vast and varied.

  • Explore 10+ unique areas through heavily open-ended progression

You're an amalgamation of the present, and several pasts.

Shortly after your creation, and wrapped up in conspiracy, you and a pair of revolutionaries are forced to flee your home world. You barely escaped, and wound up here.

Your quest is simple: Explore this new land, find your companions, and return home.

Though you may find "home" isn't all it was cracked up to be.

To help you survive, you were given a single piece of advice:
