This cooperative adventure game throws you into a thrilling experience blending puzzles, stealth, and controlled chaos. Team up, combine your strengths, and escape this bony trap… if you dare!
Gameplay
In this cooperative game, two players take control of Jack, an undead pirate obsessed with black powder, and Ed, a living pirate struggling with self-doubt. Explore an island filled with traps and enemies, solve duo-based puzzles, and overcome explosive situations where coordination and timing are key. Each character has unique mechanics, and only well-oiled teamwork will lead you to survival.
Narration
Experience a story full of twists and turns, where the clashing personalities of Jack and Ed shape both dialogue and gameplay choices. Between friendship, tension, and revelations, the narrative takes you on a breathless escape from a cursed island. Get ready for an immersive story full of humor, mystery… and black powder!
Artistic Direction
Unknowz features a stylized and expressive art direction, blending moody ambiances with bright bursts of well-placed explosions. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the environments come to life in a cartoon style that emphasizes both absurdity and epicness. The island, packed with secrets and danger, is a character in its own right.
Project Status
Unknowz is a student project developed over the course of less than 9 months, fully designed and built in Unreal Engine 5.
