About the Game

Turn writing into a ritual you can hear, touch, and share

Typewriter is a vintage mechanical typewriter simulation for slow, atmospheric writing. Every keystroke swings a real typebar; the carriage glides, the bell rings, and the ribbon inks each letter onto paper you can roll with your own hands.

A journal that feels like a real book

Your diary lives in a leather-bound journal with soft pages you can drag by the corner. Choose from six book styles — walnut leather, burgundy & gold, forest cloth, midnight blue, antique vellum, and sakura cloth — each with its own headbands, gilt corners, and ribbon-matched details.

Decorate, print, and fold

Dress up your pages with real historical stamps, botanical specimens, paper-cut motifs, hand-drawn doodles, and 66 origami figures that pop up when you turn to their page. When a letter is finished, print it on A4 and fold it into a real envelope — 14 folding patterns with step-by-step animated guides.

Poetry practice and recitations

Type along with Shakespeare's sonnets, Keats, Dickinson, and Tagore. Selected poems include recitation audio — type, listen, and settle into a slower rhythm.

Typing lessons, kid-sized

A dedicated kids mode teaches touch typing with finger guides, staged lessons, themed chapters, and a little companion who cheers them on.

Cast a letter into the digital sea

Seal a finished page into a drift bottle and release it. Somewhere out there, another writer may pick it up — and you may find theirs. (Peer-to-peer via Steam)

Sound and ambience

Classical background music; rain, wind, waves, and fireplace ambience; and the mechanical percussion of keys, bells, and carriage returns.
