About the Game

Paint & Hide

Two-Dye is hide & seek with a paintbrush. Every map is a painting — find the perfect spot, grab your paint kit, and blend yourself into the scenery before the countdown runs out. Then hold still, hold your nerve, and don't get found. 2–100 players, five modes, one rule: don't let them find you!

Five ways to play

  • Paint & Seek — The main event. Hiders paint themselves into the map, seekers hunt them down before the clock runs out.

  • The Hunt — A handful of seekers, a crowd of hiders. Get found and you switch sides — the hunt snowballs.

  • Free-for-All — No teams. Everyone hides, everyone seeks, everyone taunts. Most points takes it.

  • Turncoat — Hiders can flip to the seeker side mid-round for a bounty. Friendships not guaranteed.

  • Gallery — No seeking at all. Everyone paints, then the lobby tours the maps and votes for best camo and best art.

And when you want it darker: switch on Lights Out in any mode (except Gallery — no need) — the lights go down, seekers only have a flashlight to help them seek.

Every mode is host-configurable — timers, seeker count, painting rules, the lot.

Endless maps via Steam Workshop

Every map is a painting someone drew, and the Workshop keeps them coming. Browse a steadily growing library of community-made maps, or build your own and share it with the world in minutes — the built-in Workshop integration makes uploading painless. Maybe your map is the next big hit?

Multiplayer your way

Host through Steam with Invite Only, Friends Only, or Public lobby settings. You decide who you play with — and who you sell out in Turncoat.
