About the Game

Two teams. One battlefield.

Tug of War is a multiplayer RTS tower defense game built for friends. Two teams face off across a shared battlefield — place buildings that spawn combat units, and push your army into the enemy base before they push theirs into yours.

Inspired by the golden age of Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2 custom maps — the late-night LAN parties, the metagame arguments, the "one more game" that turned into five — Tug of War is an attempt to bring that experience forward for players who grew up with those maps and want something like them today.

Game Modes

Castle Fight — The first available mode. Two teams build on opposite sides of a mirrored map. Buildings spawn units that automatically march toward the enemy base. Build the right composition to counter your opponent's army, upgrade your towers to send stronger waves, and break through before they break through you.

More modes are in development, including takes on Footman Wars, Legion TD, and Line Tower Wars.

Features

  • Asymmetric building and tower compositions with deep counter systems

  • Fast, readable matches designed for playing with friends

  • Multiple distinct game modes, each with their own strategic layer

  • No mechanical skill ceiling — win by thinking, not by clicking faster

  • Built around online multiplayer from the ground up

  • LAN support — gather your friends on the same network and play without an internet connection

Who Is This For?

If you spent hours in Warcraft 3 or StarCraft 2 custom game lobbies — or remember packing a PC into a car for a LAN night — and miss having fun with friends trying to outsmart each other's tactics, this is for you.
