About the Game

WORK FOR THE DEAD. DIE FOR THE QUOTA.

Tombbound is a co-op extraction horror game where you and your friends are "Ushabti"—magical workers bound to serve Anubis, the God of the Dead. Your job is simple: sail the Solar Barque to the deepest, darkest tombs of the underworld, steal valuable cursed relics, and bring them back to the Scales of Justice.

But the tombs are not empty. And Anubis has a strict quota.

THE LOOP

  • Explore: Navigate procedural ancient tombs, from claustrophobic burial shafts to grand sandstone temples.

  • Scavenge: Find golden idols, canopic jars, and cursed scrolls. The heavier the loot, the slower you run—but the happier the boss is.

  • Survive: Light your torches and watch your step. If the traps don't get you, the entities lurking in the dark will.

  • The Weighing: Return to the ship and fly back to the Dead Realm. If your loot meets the quota, you live to work another day. If not... Ammit the Devourer is hungry.

FEATURES

🔦 Ancient Atmosphere, Ancient Problems Forget flashlights and walkie-talkies. You rely on flickering oil torches that can blow out if you sprint too fast, and Stones Compass to find your way back. Navigate by torchlight, listen for the echo of footsteps, and pray your flame doesn't die when you need it most.

⚖️ The Scales of Anubis The company store is open for business. Use your hard-earned soul-gold to buy magical utility items.

  • Staff of Ra: A rechargeable beam of focused light.

  • Sand-Glass: Briefly slow down time (and monsters) in a panic.

  • Snake Charmer’s Flute: Distract enemies... at your own risk.

👁️ Mythological Horrors The entities of the Duat are listening. Face off against creatures inspired by Egyptian lore, from the Weeping Pharaohs that move when unseen, to the invisible Djinn that whisper madness into your ear. Learn their behaviors, or become part of the tomb's decor.

☠️ Dynamic Co-op Play with up to 4 players. Split up to cover more ground, or stick together for safety? Leave a man behind to save the loot, or risk it all to recover their body (and avoid a penalty)? The choice is yours.
