ONE SET OF RULES - ENDLESS POSSIBILTIES
AN INFINITE GRID & UNLIMITED TILES
TILEZ is a 2D creative logic sandbox where every tile is a tiny programmable machine. Build circuits, factories, robots, board games, puzzles, and entire interactive worlds — all with visual logic, no coding required.
Play solo or collaborate with friends in seamless multiplayer.
The same tile that lights a lamp can power a robot, run a factory, store memory, or become part of a fully interactive game. Master one tile and you’ll understand them all. Every creation in TILEZ is built from the same deeply interconnected system.
----------------------------------------------------------
BUILD ANYTHING
Automated factories with conveyor systems and sorting machines.
Board games with dice, cards, turns, and multiplayer rules.
Video games including rhythm games, adventure maps, and custom puzzle experiences.
Robots with movement, combat systems, and emergent behaviors.
Animated pixel art and music synthesizers.
Wild Rube Goldberg machines.
Turing-complete logic circuits for advanced creators.
Dynamic motion using Pushers, Pullers, and Grabbers to build moving machines.
----------------------------------------------------------
LEARN AS YOU BUILD
TILEZ includes step-by-step, in-world guidebooks, challenges, and tasks to keep you busy.
Follow along as you build all kinds of contraptions, complete each step, then take the machine apart, modify it, or use it as the foundation for your own creations.
Perfect for beginners, educators, and curious creators.
You can even CREATE YOUR OWN TUTORIALS to share with others.
----------------------------------------------------------
SEAMLESS MULTIPLAYER
Invite friends into shared worlds using simple Join Codes with no port forwarding.
Build side-by-side.
Combine your creations.
Design multiplayer board games.
Race through challenges.
Battle with custom robots.
Featuring independent cameras, color-coded cursors, and client-side prediction for smooth building.
----------------------------------------------------------
SMART TILES THAT TALK, SEE, THINK & REACT
Powerful event-driven signals allow tiles to:
Communicate wirelessly
React to conditions
Spawn and destroy other tiles
Modify the world Control the camera and more!
Complex systems stay understandable thanks to visual signals, inspectable logic, and real-time feedback.
----------------------------------------------------------
ENGINEERED FOR DEPTH & SCALE
Incremental Power Engine with dirty-tracking and island-based BFS recalculation.
Nested Modules with object pooling, cached graphs, and a 64-level recursion guard.
Advanced Signals featuring 19 actions including move, create, delete, rotate, memory operations, and camera control.
Unity Netcode + Relay with client prediction and spatial interest management.

WHO IS TILEZ FOR?
Creative engineers who love automation and programmable systems.
Board game players looking for custom tabletop experiences online.
Educators and STEM parents teaching systems thinking through play.
Streamers and creators building working computers, robot battles, puzzles, and interactive worlds.

CURRENTLY IN PLAYTEST
TILEZ is in active development.
Your feedback directly shapes the game.
If something feels confusing, broken, or missing... tell me.

LONG-TERM VISION
The goal isn't to dictate what you build.
The goal is to give you a system so flexible that you'll discover uses the developer never imagined.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPER
For the last ten years, home has been the back of my vehicle—living a minimalistic van life and chasing warmer weather. I've played games my whole life: video games, board games, and the deep strategic ones.
As a homeschooling father of two, Minecraft Redstone became a staple in our curriculum. There's no better way to teach a circuit than letting someone build one, break it, and try again.
TILEZ started as an attempt to make that teaching tool even better and give my children some refresher lessons.
I kept adding features so the lessons could go further—more logic, more ways to see cause and effect.
Eventually my little tiles grew into something entirely new.
Every system in TILEZ was designed, broken, rebuilt, optimized, and refined by one stubborn solo developer with nowhere in particular to be. Teaching my little tiles to do new things every day.
At its core, I believe it's a great tool for teaching logic and circuits.
It just also happens to be a place where people can create and play games with each other.
They say geeks build amazing things in garages. I built mine on four wheels.
Games have given me so much over the years.
TILEZ is my way of giving something back—a better way to learn, create, and play together.
