About the Game

Throughspire is a compact 2D roguelite arcade game built around a tower that pierces a broken world. From the surface camp, players climb upward or descend deeper, pushing a little farther through short runs revealing truth of  the broken world through repeated exploration.

The lower route is about falling, timing, and fast decisions. Your explorer keeps dropping, and you only control left and right movement while the ceiling closes in above you. The controls are simple. The pressure comes from rhythm, prediction, and the cost of a missed landing.

The upper route is about jumps and planned landings. The lower route is about reaction, footwork, and pushing deeper. Both directions belong to the same Spire, share the same long-term growth, and make upward and downward progress feel like two sides of one climb.

Features

  • One Spire, two directions: climb upward or descend deeper through the same broken world.

  • Minimal controls: Descend focuses on left and right movement, while Ascend is built around charged jumps.

  • Fast restarts: short runs, clear deaths, and immediate next attempts.

  • Light roguelite progression: run pickups change the current attempt, while talents give long-term value to failure.

  • Fragmented story: the tower and the broken world reveal themselves through play.
