The Tūn-Gāst of Oakshaw is a top down 2D pixel art horror-adventure game with Metroidvania-inspired gameplay, interweaved with a rich and flowing episodic narrative.
Imbued in history, steeped in layered mysteries
The Tūn-Gāst of Oakshaw is set against the historically-accurate backdrop of 1744 Georgian England - a time of fear, disease, war - and gin.
Playing as the Faceless, a monster hunter who roams the land in search of supernatural threats to extinguish, you must investigate a series of strange disturbances and unexplained deaths in the rural town of Oakshaw, Cumbria.
But the desperate and destitute people are at the mercy of the parasitic gin craze ravaging the nation - and they don't take kindly to a masked outsider shining a light on secrets that have long been buried.
An episodic approach to storytelling
As you build your investigation throughout this semi-open world environment and use wits to solve puzzles, you must also wrestle with forces that lurk in the darkness - and battle the demons that lurk within.
Chapter One of The Tūn-Gāst of Oakshaw will launch in 2025. This will be followed with additional chapters in future updates.
