Pick up your rusty hooks, dental drill and pliers to harvest teeth from townsfolk as the Tooth Fae. Originally created in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 58, this fleshed out version introduces new mechanics, tool progression, secrets, and so many lovely lovely teeth to collect. It's time to make the world whole again.
It's a poor Fae that does not have the means to acquire what the Queen demands.
You'll make use of a variety of tools to extract teeth right from the gums of quiet, dreaming townsfolk. From lowly pliers to esoteric anesthetic concoctions, tooth worms and your very own fingers. You'll have a variety of horrifically effective tools to salvage teeth from sleeping things. But make sure to not let them awaken or die from your efforts. The Queen does not allow the waking to see us and harvesting from a corpse... Well, that's hardly sporting is it?
And with an outstretched hand the pitiable flesh was rendered still and placid.
As your harvesting grows more frenzied, the dull ambling flesh whispers and grows afraid. Make use of new Dread Abilities that give you an unnatural advantage in keeping the town placated and making stubborn townsfolk more compliant. You'll need them to overcome terrified neighbors, hushed rumors, animal guardians and hated iron sigils meant to ward you off.
The Fae Court has awoken from its slumber and now it demands fresh teeth.
You long to join your kin, but first you'll need to prove yourself worthy. You'll be tasked with collecting certain teeth before too many nights creep over the sleepy town. Successfully complete these demands to earn reputation with the Court, granting access to upgrades, new tools, and abilities. Only so many failures are tolerated before the Queen's patience may be worn too thin...
