The Silent Column is a cuddly romance visual novel - boy pursues girl - with supernatural elements and Christian themes. It focuses on the relationship between the main character and the love interest you, the player, choose. At the same time, the setting, character backstories, and supernatural elements are an interesting part of the story. The story also contains some elements people may find upsetting, such as discussions about suicide, drug abuse, child-abuse, and child-abandonment.
The Silent Column takes place after the events of 'the fall', a supernatural event which resulted in the deaths of most people in the world the characters live in. In the aftermath of that terrible time, Tashen and his small, family-like unit live quiet lives as they meet new people - such as the mysterious Amy, the intimate Thidria, and the energetic Serra. As time goes on, Tashen finds himself surrounded by strange and abstract mysteries... some newer, and some older than the sun.
The Silent Column was made by one person using the Ren'Py visual novel engine, and is 260,000 words long. I appreciate any and all of your support. :)
The Silent Column contains sexual situations and nudity. However, it glosses over strictly explicit sex scenes and doesn't show nipples or genitalia.
The Silent Column has a quiet, cuddly, and contemplative atmosphere, with characters often doing things such as... talking about philosophy in the living room while drinking tea, cuddling on the couch, thinking about love while walking along the sandy shore, or thinking about the past while exploring abandoned ruins.
