About the Game

Groovy * Funky * Disco
After nearly a year's worth of renovations, The Old Ultraviolet (AKA the T.O.U.; the second "the" is silent), hallmark of 1970s alt-culture, is back in business, primed to close the decade out in style. There's only one problem: the niche hangout spot is about to pivot from diverse, jack-of-all-trades concert venue to modern, one-note discotheque!

Outraged by this trend-chasing switcheroo -- and the aggressive ubiquity of the relaunched T.O.U's marketing campaign -- the local Vinyl Club vows to oust the venue's new corporate overlords and save their beloved Old Ultraviolet from the clutches of disco, one disco-dungeon floor at the time!

Party-Based Exploration & Combat
The Vinyl Club starts off as a measly duo. As their journey progresses, their supporters increase in numbers to such a degree that, before it's all said and done, they've almost become worthy of their 'club' label! Led by de facto club president, Octavia, the club will march through colorful disco dungeons, administrative office areas, record stores, fastfood joints, hobby shops, and the (sometimes kind, sometimes mean) streets of their city in hopes of making things right.

Turn-Based Battles
When accosted by the unpleasantries of the refurbished T.O.U. and other disco-fied habitats, the (up to 4) Vinyl Club members will engage them in turn-based combat. Each member brings their own element of musicology to the table -- from Octavia's prog rock theatrics to Ramon's raw punk power to Gee-Bee's medical funk magic -- allowing them to pump up their friends, bum out their detractors, and break their adversaries' elemental shields to land decisive blows.

Enjoy 1970s U.S.A.
More than 100 NPCs and dozens of side quests await -- optionally! -- within and without The Old Ultraviolet. Learn all about what and who's hip and happenin' in this historically fantastical late '70s U.S. city!

In-Game Achievements & Rewards
Separate from Steam Achievements, each playthrough of The Old Ultraviolet tracks a variety of milestones, the completion of which will grant The Vinyl Club various in-game goodies.
