The Girl Walks Back is a dark, atmospheric monochrome puzzle-adventure set in a gloomy world.

You control a young girl who has wandered deep into the forest and attempts to return to her village. However, this forest will not release you easily.

Featuring a distinctive side-view perspective, the girl navigates the forest using only simple mouse controls. No complex key inputs are required. Instead, you will be tested on your wit to solve escape-game-like puzzles by investigating the environment, and your reflexes in moments requiring precise mouse action.

Each stage offers two distinct ways to proceed: a path focused on puzzles and another relying on action.

The path you choose and the method you use to overcome obstacles—that momentary decision—will lead to different endings.
