Have you ever had the pleasure of playing a cooperative game with your friends? These games often have elaborate level design, a wide variety of enemies, and encourage you to cooperate with each other. The Fantastic Adventures of Mr. Don and Friends is a game based on these design philosophies, and I want to revive the fun and immersion of playing a game with friends. As such, this game is not a numbers-get-bigger game, but rather a leveling experience, with levels, monsters and bosses that have been carefully designed.
The goal of the game is to protect Mr. Don, and on a randomly generated map that advances automatically, the player will face many challenges, including animal enemies that harass Mr. Don, worms that hunt Mr. Don, and traps along the way, in addition to the usual enemies.
Picking up props is another element of this game, as players learn skills by picking up green scriptures discarded by Mr. Don, and players will also meet friendly NPCs who appear from the clouds to offer prop support.Defeat the final boss, and all players vote for Mr. Don's skills.
The game has low death and failure penalties for the player. After death, the player transforms into a floating balloon and is resurrected in 3 ways, 1st by being touched by Mr. Don, 2nd by your teammates coming to rescue you, and 3rd by the balloon floating to the far left side of the map.
So, as a game designer, I'm not afraid to kill players, the bosses in this game won't come at you solo and one by one like in other games. No, it won't, they will work in tandem and attack in groups, they will also be hard to defeat easily, go into berserk states, and enter new phases equipped with new behaviors and skills. Make good use of your skills, save your teammates, utilize the map mechanics and cooperate with your friends to defeat the bosses, it's the strength of your opponents that proves your courage and intelligence, good luck!
