About the Game

The Fall of Zorata is a free, single-player, first-person 3D narrative puzzle game. One complete playthrough takes about 20–30 minutes. The story is linear with a single ending. There is no combat and no multiplayer.

Story & Your Goal

In the 18th-century fictional desert town of Zorata, locals built an underground palace to house a golden relic called the Golden Sea Hoard. You have been thrown inside and told you may leave if you complete the ritual trials.

Your goal: explore a circular hub and four ritual chambers, read notes and environmental clues, collect ceremonial items, and use environmental chain-reaction puzzles to indirectly trigger each seal point. You must never touch the Golden Sea Hoard with your bare hands—or you will be hurled into a bottomless abyss. Complete the opening rite, all four chambers, and the final rite to witness Zorata's fate.

Gameplay Features

• First-person exploration — Walk through a 3D underground palace, interact with objects, and read in-world text to advance the plot

• Inventory & ritual items — Pick up and manage ceremonial tools (ritual dagger, ash powder, ritual candles, etc.); switch items with hotkeys or the mouse

• 3D item inspection — Right-click to rotate and examine key items in 3D

• Environmental chain puzzles — Each chamber uses 2–4 step Rube Goldberg–style setups; trigger seal points indirectly with ritual objects

• Core rule — Touch the hoard directly → death and fall into the abyss → respawn as another victim with progress reset; graffiti and notes left by previous prisoners remain permanently

• Linear level structure — Hub opening rite → Chambers 2–5 unlock in fixed order → return to hub for final rite → ending cinematic

Puzzles are moderate in difficulty and driven by reading and observation. Multiple attempts still move the story forward—you are unlikely to get permanently stuck.
