About the Game

The Facility is a psychological horror strategy game with a retro PSX aesthetic. Set in a world on the brink of collapse, you play as the newly appointed warden of Facility 61. Your job is to manage a rehabilitation center for subjects assigned by the State for dangerous missions.

However, not everyone under your supervision is human. Hidden among the subjects are Anomalies capable of disguising themselves as humans.

GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

Your goal is to maintain the facility’s order, meet the State’s daily manpower quotas, and prevent Anomalies from infiltrating mission assignments. Sending an Anomaly on a mission doesn’t just waste a slot—it leads to sabotage of critical operations and severe penalties from the State.

CORE FEATURES & MECHANICS

  • Receive Orders: Every morning, you receive instructions via fax from the State. Review these requests and decide which subjects to assign to each task.

  • Interrogation: Interact with subjects face-to-face. Use the dialogue system to question them, inspect their documents for inconsistencies, and observe their behavior for subtle signs of corruption.

  • Selection: Choose which subjects to deploy. Assigning a human to a dangerous mission wastes valuable resources, while deploying an Anomaly results in mission failure and sabotage.

  • Night Events: The day doesn’t end with your decisions. Based on your choices, uncanny events may unfold during the night. Surviving the night is the only way to reach the next morning.

ANOMALY DETECTION

Investigate subject files, cross-reference their stories, and look for visual distortions. If you fail to identify an Anomaly and send them on an assignment, the State will hold you responsible for the consequences.

Paranoia is your only friend. Can you endure the nightmare of the Facility?
