The Doorway Effect is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror roguelike. Venture into the subconscious minds of test subjects, investigating the recesses of their psyche to dissect a lifetime of fears and traumas.
While you can still play and enjoy the game solo, we know there's no better feeling than getting scared half to death alongside other people. The Doorway Effect will primarily be a multiplayer experience.
This game is atmospheric, frightening, and filled with secrets. There's no telling what may be waiting beyond each door. Collect keys, solve puzzles, outsmart the entities, and brace yourself for the worst...
Push forward through 100s of doors in a shapeshifting environment, scrambling to escape the horrors within, and to reach the final Doorway. Run after run, make it a little further each time, and attempt to unravel the larger mysteries at hand as you do.
Inspired by the cooperative horror of Phasmophobia and Lethal Company, the randomized gameplay of Doors, and the existentialism of The Stanley Parable.
