About the Game

Start as a young adventurer with nothing but big dreams, crawl into creepy dungeons, slay hoards of monsters and foes, gain experience, accumulate wealth so that you can crawl into even creepier spaces, slay even more monsters until you finally reach insanity or you... become... Legend.

In The Collector's Legends, you begin your adventure with a basic deck of cards in a world full of danger but also opportunity. As you navigate through the world, you will find missions and maps, each will lead you to a multi-zone battle. In each zone, you will kill enemies, take their loot, and then proceed to the next zone.

Killing enemies will grant you experience, which will allow you to level up your character. Whenever your character gains a level, you will receive a talent point which you can use to allocate a node in the character's intricate Talent Tree, with each node improving your character in some way.

Loot will be randomly generated and its value and quantity will be based on the difficulty of the zone. It will include currency, crafting materials, and also special items that can be left in your inventory for bonuses, passive effects, or other modifiers influencing gameplay. Consumable currency items will allow you to modify items, including cards, similarly to how Path of Exile's currency system works.

Features

  • 💯 100+ Cards, that can be upgraded, and modified - they have a level that determines the extent to which they can be modified
  • 50+ Artifacts that modify or influence gameplay - they sit in your inventory to apply special bonuses or potentially completely change how certain interactions work
  • Intricate Talent Tree with 80+ nodes that can completely change the strategy behind how your character and deck play together
  • Story Mode to familiarize the player with the game mechanics and bring you from the early game, all through mid-game, setting solid foundations for the late game
  • Missions throughout the game accompany the Story Mode, with a strong emphasis on risk-reward where more difficult missions will have better rewards
  • The late game revolves around exploring Maps, items that are dropped by enemies or crafted, and that can be modified using the currency and crafting systems
  • Missions and Maps will lead to a multi-zone battle, similar to Darkest Dungeon dungeons, where a zone would be equivalent to an encounter
  • Currency items, found as part of the loot from monsters, will allow modifying certain aspects of cards or other items, similarly to Path of Exile's currency system
  • Crafting materials, found as part of loot or bought from NPCs, will allow crafting various items, including cards and consumables
  • Town with various buildings used to access specific functions, such as crafting, storage, etc. akin to Darkest Dungeon
