About the Game

The Burning Owl is a psychological horror game inspired by a true event and focuses on atmosphere, mystery, and suspense.

The Burning Owl

Michael Clow is 25, living alone in his childhood home and scraping by as a freelance photographer. It’s the kind of quiet, small-town life where you start noticing the tiny things—like the increasingly strange behavior of the man living next door.

One night, Michael watches his neighbor drive off into the woods in a hurry. Driven by a gut feeling he can't ignore, he grabs his camera and follows, hoping for an answer. But deep among the trees, he stumbles into a secret much darker than a simple neighborhood mystery. Some things are better left uncaptured.

The Gameplay

This is a first-person horror game where the atmosphere does the talking. There are no maps to guide you or icons telling you where to go—it’s just you, your camera, and that heavy feeling in your chest as you head deeper into the trees. You'll have to pay attention to the world around you to figure out what’s actually going on. It’s about the tension of the unknown and the things you’ll wish you hadn't found.
