※游戏故事※

20XX年，外界“元宇宙”热潮持续升温，而在幻想乡中，河城荷取所带领的河童工坊也开始了VR设备和元宇宙世界的研究。在历经艰苦的研究和尝试后，河童工坊终于研究出了幻想乡第一个VR设备——NTRGear，同时开发出了与之配套的虚拟世界“Apocryphal Land”。根据河城荷取的说法，“Apocryphal Land”是以现实幻想乡为蓝本，收集了大量的资料开发而成，这个世界中的一草一木，甚至包括NPC的AI设计都和真实世界别无二致。河城荷取非常自信，声称进入这个世界的玩家根本不能分辨自己是处于虚拟世界还是真实世界。于是，为了测试NTRGear和“Apocryphal Land”，我们的主角——雾雨魔理沙、爱丽丝·玛格特洛依德和帕秋莉·诺蕾姬三人自告奋勇，一同进入“Apocryphal Land”开始了她们的冒险。
