About the Game

THE APARTMENT LIES

The Apartment Lies is a first person anomaly horror game that challenges your perception, memory, and nerves. You are trapped inside a seemingly ordinary apartment building, but with each step forward, the environment subtly changes. Your task is simple in theory, yet terrifying in practice: spot what is wrong and choose the correct door to survive.

Gameplay Overview

The game is built around observation and decision making. As you move through the apartment, objects, rooms, and details may change without warning. A painting might be different. Furniture could be missing. Lights may behave strangely. Some anomalies are obvious. Others are barely noticeable.

If you detect a change, you must choose the correct door to progress. If you fail to notice an anomaly or make the wrong decision, the game reacts. Sometimes slowly. Sometimes instantly.

There is no safe routine. Every run keeps you guessing.

Psychological Horror and Real Fear

The Apartment Lies blends two forms of horror.

Psychological horror builds tension over time. Subtle visual changes, distorted sound, and the constant feeling of being watched create unease and paranoia. You begin to question your own memory and attention.

Real horror strikes without warning. Sudden jumpscares, disturbing events, and violent encounters can occur at any moment. Blood and explicit horror elements are used deliberately to shock and punish mistakes.

You never know when the game will stay quiet or when it will turn against you.

Observation Is Survival

Not every anomaly is dramatic. Some are intentionally subtle. Others are aggressive and unmistakable. Learning to slow down, observe carefully, and trust your instincts is the only way forward.

The environment itself becomes the enemy. Familiar spaces grow hostile. What felt safe moments ago may no longer be.
