About the Game

Spyke is a go-getter. He moved himself up the ranks at Zoid Corp. like no other Animoid before. But when he sees too much, he loses everything and has to find a way to make things right again. 

The Adventure of Spyke is a classically styled 3D top-down action RPG that takes place across a vast world. Explore forgotten puzzle-filled vaults, bustling cities, and beautiful landscapes. Battle robots, organ-harvesters, and terrifying creatures to not only save Spyke but uncover a deep mystery at the heart of reality itself.

Game Features

  • Classic top-down action RPG gameplay using just a game controller.

  • Deep story with extensive lore, characters, and story.

  • Puzzle-based item and inventory system. Place, rotate, and connect kanjicite crystals to make new items with new enchantments.

  • Find a vast array of melee weapons, projectile weapons, shields, and more.

  • Enchant weapons, projectiles, and shields with different elements you can switch between on the fly to test your wits and reflexes.

  • Further enchant weapons with different modifiers to add even more abilities, such as scanning to see enemies' strengths and weaknesses.

  • Connect crystals in a chain going from element, through modifiers, and then to an implement to create your own custom items.

  • Utilize a logical mana system that requires planning and balancing to achieve the right balance for your weapon set.

  • Explore cavernous vaults to find new items, enemies, paths, and more.

  • Create special kanjicite from their parts.

  • Collect all the kanjicite you can! A revolutionary system helps the user locate and use found kanjicite with just a game controller.

  • Item system helps player learn to recognize Chinese and Japanese characters and learn new words.

  • Game dialogue uses challenging words but explains them in context.

  • Unique puzzles help player learn a variety of subjects, including STEM concepts from mathematics and engineering.

  • In game economy and currency system helps player understand banking and basic finance.

  • More to come that will inspire you to want to learn more -- no concepts are pushed upon the user, but rather the user is pulled into new concepts that can be immediately applied in-game in a practicum-style learning environment.
