About the Game

Terrible Life Expectancy is a roguelite top-down shooter with Survivors elements. Fight absurd hordes of mutants for the amusement of an unseen bloodthirsty audience and only inherit all your upgrades as long as someone in your family is still breathing... or at least twitching.

In this deranged TV show, every life counts, and legacy is all that matters. When your character falls on camera, their child, sibling, or a cousin who looks an awful lot like them steps into the spotlight, grabs their inherited gear, and keeps the massacre going.

But be warned: if your entire bloodline gets wiped out the show ends, and only fragments of your hard-earned upgrades remain. The stakes aren’t just one life; they’re your entire family tree.

Each run unfolds across a procedurally generated node map, letting you choose your path through a twisted season of episodes. Every node brings a different mission type, risk level, and chance to make the audience cheer... or boo.

Expect shops between missions where you can buy weapons, upgrades, and questionable items from the black market to improve your odds of survival.

  • Pick your next family and character carefully. Each has unique strengths, weaknesses, and long-term consequences.

  • Clone the same bloodline too many times and you may trigger degenerative mutations, resulting in unexpected perks, horrifying drawbacks, or both. Genetics don’t like shortcuts.

With permanent progression, multiple families, mutations, branching maps, and wildly different builds, Terrible Life Expectancy is built for great replayability.

Every run is another season, every death another episode, and every failure just fuel for the next attempt.
