About the Game

TEKUTEKU: Discovery Notebook is a cozy desktop game of quiet discovery and collection, designed to keep you company in a corner of your screen while you work. TEKUTEKU, a curious little traveler, was born one night from a doodle touched by moonlight. While you work or study, it wanders Yanesen — a Tokyo neighborhood known as “Cat Town” — noticing little things and writing each discovery down in its notebook.

Wander and discover
TEKUTEKU takes its time among the alleys, signboards, cats, and tiny shrines. In a neighborhood that looks ordinary at first glance, something quietly sparkles — click it to tuck it into the notebook. These are things you only notice when you slow down and look closely; some reveal themselves only in the glow of sunset.

Record and slowly collect
Each discovery settles into a square of TEKUTEKU’s notebook. As the light shifts through the day, the same alley shows a different face — and the more you come to know the neighborhood, the more the notebook fills with your own Yanesen.

Right there beside you
TEKUTEKU keeps you company without getting in the way, quietly going about its own little day. When you type, it scribbles along beside you — and on days you spend a little longer together, it might leave you a small letter. Use what you’ve found to decorate TEKUTEKU’s spot, or dress up your notebook with bands, charms, and more.

A neighborhood that’s really there
The Yanesen that TEKUTEKU walks is a real neighborhood in Tokyo. Meet the Yanaka Ginza shopping street, the narrow winding Hebi-michi, and the worn back lanes in the game — then, one day, retrace TEKUTEKU’s steps yourself. More neighborhoods are slowly on the way.

Drawn and made by hand
TEKUTEKU grew up through illustration and comics. The same illustrator behind TEKUTEKU drew this whole neighborhood too — every alley and signboard, one at a time — and carried that world into a game. Hand-drawn art, warm as paper, adds a small comfort to your day from the corner of your screen.
