Important: Tape Us Out is a fully online cooperative experience. To play, two players are required, each with their own copy of the game and a a way to communicate with one another.
Narrative
It all begins when two friends, passionate about antiques, stumble upon a garage sale. Curious, they explore the place in search of relics until they come across a box full of VHS tapes. Among familiar and worn-out titles, one tape stands out: Tape Us Out — a name neither of them had ever heard before.
Excited, they decide to have a surprise movie session that afternoon. Little did they know that by pressing play, they were about to dive into something far beyond a simple film…
In the blink of an eye, the two are pulled into the TV.
Now trapped, they must journey through worlds inspired by different cinematic genres: from epic high-fantasy adventures, to the tension of a crime thriller where every second counts to defuse a bomb, and even the horror of being hunted by a monster.
