About the Game

Tally & Tails is the story of a debt, a circus wagon, and two coworkers with wildly incompatible work ethics.

Tails is an energetic, dangerously optimistic freelance philanthropist who accidentally burned through 5,000 gold coins of public funding on a traveling "charity and good vibes" project.

Tally, a tired and deeply overworked government clerk (and also a dog), is now on the hook for half the debt after stamping the wrong form at the wrong time. Neither of them has any savings. Or a plan. Or basic business sense.

The Royal Council has given them 31 days to pay it back. If they fail, Tails goes to jail and Tally loses his job and pension.

So, the solution?

Hit the road. Peddle whatever strange goods they can scrounge up. Barter, charm, bluff, and occasionally guilt people into buying things they absolutely do not need.

Survive the social chaos of Cat City and its surrounding towns while juggling gossip, fluctuating markets, and the consequences of handing out free money to strangers.

And sock puppets.

Key Features:

  • Travelling trade: Wheel your wagon between a big city hub and smaller locations like the Yarnfields, the fishing docks, the mountain trails, and the park.

  • Over 20 Colorful, Opinionated Townsfolk: Make friends, explore mysteries, crash dinner parties, and navigate a shifting web of petty drama and marketplace politics.

  • Gossip-Driven Economy: Your reputation, your choices, and whatever ridiculous rumors are flying around town all affect what people will pay or refuse to pay you.

  • Time is Ticking: You have 31 days to repay the debt. Every day is a new chance to cut deals, make mistakes, and maybe pull off a miracle or two.

  • Minigame-based scrounging: No money? No problems. Unwind or cause more chaos with small location-based side jobs, like fishing, foraging, or helping clean up after one of Tails' "marketing events."

  • Story-Rich, Character-Focused: Packed with silly arguments, bad financial decisions, and surprisingly heartfelt moments between a wildly enthusiastic cat and a stressed-out dog who definitely did not sign up for this partnership.

Your wagon is rickety. Your funds are low. Your business model is debatable. But your heart is big and your wagon is cozy.

One month. One wagon. One silly, wonderful story about cats and being nice to one another.
