About the Game

1592.The war you half-remember from history class — except this time there's sorcery on the battlefield, and the enemy you beat yesterday is guarding your flank today.

Tale of Specters: Joseon 1592 takes the 1592 war and bends it into alternate-history fantasy. You lead a ragtag company of exiles, defectors, and outlaws across battlefields where magic and steel share the same grid.

Terrain wins fights — along with skills, not just stat sheets
Every map is built on height. Take the high ground, force enemies onto bad footing, and play the four elements — earth, water, fire, wind — off each other. Read the turn order, land the right status effects, and you'll take fights you had no business winning.

Raise your band
Start with eight base jobs and branch them through three tiers (8 → 12 → 8). Then dig into the gear: graft elemental affinities onto your weapons, evolve them up the grades, and break down loot at the smithy to rebuild it your way.

People worth fighting for
Hong Sa-heon, a commander with a past he keeps buried. Lee Dong-gil, a low-born sorcerer whose magic turns the field. Maechang, a courtesan and poet who's better with a blade than a brush. Heo Gyun, the scholar who wrote the legend of Hong Gildong — and more you'll win to your side.

Win. Recruit. Run it back.
Talk defeated enemies into joining your side and turn them into an asset in battle. Three difficulty tiers are built for grinding deeper and replaying harder.

Where things stand
The game enters Early Access with its core systems in place and four chapters — 50 stages — ready to play. Content will keep expanding, and the price will rise at full release (1.0).
