About the Game

Fast ships. Deep tactics. Relentless battles.

Subspace Reticulum is a top-down multiplayer space combat game inspired by the speed, freedom and organized chaos of Subspace Continuum.

Outfly your opponents in open-space dogfights, fight through fortified corridors and turn a desperate attack into a last-second flag capture. Play online, run your own zone or battle offline against bots that navigate, coordinate and respond to the fight around them.

Fly the Fleet

Take command the eight classic ships, reimagined in 3D: the Warbird, Javelin, Spider, Leviathan, Terrier, Weasel, Lancaster and Shark.

Master an extensive arsenal of bullets, bombs, mines and Thors, then change the fight with bursts, repels, rockets, bricks, decoys, portals and more.

Fight for the Flags

Turf Wars
Capture fixed flag poles, control the map and defend your territory.

Warzone
Collect loose flags, carry them into your base and secure the complete set to win. Bases are authored as tactical spaces, allowing bots to understand entrances, corridors, defensive positions and the ground that must be held.

Maps can range from focused combat arenas to sprawling team fortresses built for large, coordinated battles.

Bots

The bots do more than fly directly at the nearest target. They plan routes, lead their shots, capture and bank flags, defend bases, retreat from losing fights and call for backup.

These heuristic pilots also serve as mentors for the game’s next generation of neural-network bots, which are being developed through imitation and evolutionary training. Every simulated battle contributes to the pursuit of more capable, convincing AI players.

Play Your Way

  • Join public zones directly from the in-game directory.

  • Play across multiple arenas within a single zone.

  • Challenge other pilots with direct duel invitations.

  • Host your own zone from a personal computer or dedicated server.

  • Manage your community with staff roles, admin commands and a complete visual settings editor.

  • Play offline in solo battles.

A New Subspace Universe

Subspace Reticulum is not intended to be a one-to-one recreation of Continuum. It takes the responsive flight, tactical team combat and community-run worlds that made the original special—and uses them as the foundation for something new.

The current game is the beginning of that universe. Its ships are armed, its zones are online and its bots are learning.

Engage your warp drive. There is a fight waiting for you.
