What if your journey to become the greatest monster trainer had to wait after school hours?
Study & Monster is a cozy, story-rich RPG where you play as a teenager juggling school life by day and battling monsters by night. Raise powerful creatures, pass your exams, build relationships, and face recruiters across the world to earn your spot in the ultimate tournament — but don’t let your grades slip, or your mom might ground you for the weekend!
🎮 What Kind of Game Is Study & Monster?

Your character attends school Monday to Friday — but how you spend your day is up to you. Study hard, goof off with friends, or dive deep into monster lore. Just don’t skip class too often — your mom will find out.
✏️ Study Gameplay
Classes, exams, friendships — it’s all part of the journey.
- A calendar system tracks classes, holidays, and even when Mom is home
- Fridays are exam days – face 5 questions about anything you’ve learned in class
- Choices at school deepen your relations which grant gameplay bonuses
Some relationships even include romance options that influence your ending.
👾 Monster Gameplay
Battles are turn-based and built to be easy to grasp, but deep enough for creative combos. Key features include:
- 2v2 battles in co-op or special scenario
- 5 Elemental types, plenty of Status Effects and Special Conditions for strategic combat
- Catch monsters using your DAB (Digital Archive Bracelet) — success depends on HP, device level, and luck
- Over 30 monsters to choose from and Upgrade their genetic tree
- Permadeath? No, but if your team is defeated in the wild, you’ll have to fight barehanded to escape
Monsters gain strength through experience and growth, even outside of level-ups.
🌍 World & Lore (No Spoilers… Yet!)
The monsters are alien beings that entered our world after a mysterious event called The Turning. They’re stored digitally and can evolve or transform — with some rare monsters locked into unique evolutionary trees.
The world of Study & Monster spans across islands, cities, and wild zones. You’ll need credits to explore new areas, earnable through part-time jobs and minigames.
I’m keeping the full story under wraps for now — but trust me, there’s more than school drama and monster battles going on.
