About the Game

Stoneveil is a dark, strategic, turn-based card battler. Players duel as rival champions, harnessing the power of six primal Stones—Ruby, Sapphire, Jade, Diamond, Obsidian, and Amber—to summon minions, cast spells, and forge equipment in a world where every choice carries weight.

Unlike traditional card games that rely on luck, Stoneveil emphasizes deterministic strategy and resource mastery. Each match unfolds as a tense duel of foresight and attrition, where reading your opponent and sequencing actions perfectly can mean the difference between triumph and ruin.

⚔️ Core Features

  • Six-Stone Resource System: Build decks using Ruby (Fire), Jade (Nature), Obsidian (Death), Sapphire (Time/Ice), Diamond (Valor), and Amber (Lightning).

  • Affinity Synergy: Each Stone unlocks unique Affinities like Blood, Wild, Decay, or Chronos, allowing hybrid decks and complex interactions.

  • Deterministic Combat: No random crits, no coin flips—victory is earned through planning and precision.

  • Deckbuilding Depth: Combine spells, minions, and relics to shape your own strategy—control, aggro, combo, or attrition.

  • Equipment & Relics: Champions can wield weapons, shields, boots, and helms that persist and evolve during combat.

  • General Mode: Assemble a deck from your personal collection and engage in tactical duels against other players or advanced AI opponents. Climb the ranked ladder, refine your strategies, and prove your mastery across the ever-shifting meta.

  • Adventure Mode: Venture across a procedurally generated hex-map, facing themed encounters and powerful bosses. Collect cards, relics, and artifacts as you descend through the cursed lands of Stoneveil—each run a unique blend of risk, reward, and discovery.

  • Draft Gauntlet Mode: Build a deck from a series of limited, randomized choices and test your skill against others in high-stakes competition. Adapt, improvise, and climb the Gauntlet leaderboard—every draft is a new trial of strategy and survival.

  • Built in Unity: Designed with a clean 2D presentation and dark fantasy aesthetic, merging clarity with atmosphere.

🩸 Design Philosophy

Every card interaction in Stoneveil is designed to be intelligent, readable, and strategic. Randomness is minimized, ensuring that each turn feels deliberate and rewarding for competitive play. Players who enjoy tactical decision-making, synergy-driven decks, and a grim fantasy tone will find endless depth beneath the surface.
