Start with NOTHING… Craft EVERYTHING

StoneSpace offers a pure, comprehensive crafting experience. As the lone survivor of an ill-fated starship, stranded on an alien planet with nothing but the clothes on your back, you’ll embark on the ultimate crafting project to build a vessel that will carry you home. To do that, you’ll have to master everything from pottery to metallurgy, from farming to astroengineering. Go on a journey through the entire history of science and technology, from flint tools to nuclear reactors, navigation computers, and rocket fuel.

Start with nothing

In this game, you’ll start with nothing. And I really mean nothing. No wreckage conveniently strewn around a crash site to get you going, no fancy multi tool, no 3D printer – not even a map or a backpack. You’ll start from scratch, and craft everything yourself.

Grounded crafting system

The crafting in StoneSpace is grounded in the concepts and processes underpinning real-life engineering. Want a wooden plank? You’ll need to make an axe, fell a tree, trim the branches, hew a log from the trunk, debark it, split it along fault lines into rough flitches, and sand them smooth. Want a metal ingot? You’ll need to dig a mineshaft, light it up, erect supports, extract mineral-rich chunks, break those down to find nuggets, build a smelter, process lime, use good fuel, maintain the right temperature, and deal with the waste slag. Every material, tool, and process follows the same logic – no magic shortcuts, no hand-waving.

This is not a survival game

There’s no combat, and no hunger or thirst meters to babysit. You won’t be hunting animals for resources. You don’t even have a health bar. Just explore, gather, craft, and advance toward your final goal.

Quality of life

Pin recipes to the HUD, save your favourite items, search for things by name, build anywhere, rotate buildings, plan your base before committing resources, recycle what you no longer need, quickly move, drop, and organise items with shortcuts – all the best quality-of-life features from your favourite crafting games are included.
