About the Game

Starshot Genesis is a fast-paced first-person space combat arcade shooter. Pilot your ship through 3D space, blast waves of enemies, and survive as long as you can while climbing the leaderboard.

Core gameplay:

Strafe and dodge in full 3D while aiming with the mouse and moving with the WASD, Shift, and Space keys. You start with twin cannons and earn weapon upgrades every 500 points, up to five tiers, so you grow stronger the longer you last. Enemies spawn from portals in packs, using different behaviors: strafers, interceptors, and variants with traits like armored, fast-fire, and elite.

Movement & abilities:

Beyond normal movement you have a Boost (right mouse button) Warp (extra speed when boosting forward, move the mouse to steer your ship), and an Ultimate ability shield overcharge burst on a long cooldown. Shields soak hits and recharge after a delay; health regenerates when you avoid damage long enough.

Goals & challenge:

Survive and maximize your score. Difficulty increases with your score and weapon tier. More enemies, tougher packs. Runs range from a few minutes to long sessions depending on skill.

Soundtrack:

In-game music by Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen / Torque / courtesy of Epidemic Sound with custom sound effects for upgrades, rail cannons, low health, ultimate ready, warp, and kills.

Leaderboard:

Online leaderboard tracks high scores. Scores earned offline stay local.

Controls:

WASD to move, Space/Shift for up/down, mouse to aim, left mouse button to fire, right mouse button to boost. The HUD shows score, health, shield, weapon level, kills, and boost/warp/ultimate status.
