About the Game

Welcome to StarDune, an ambitious solo dev project where you step into the suit of a tiny astronaut exploring a vast, open world solar system. Uncover mysteries as you build modular bases, manage vital resources, pilot spaceships, drive rovers, and terraform the world around you to conquer the frontiers of deep space.

Fully Deformable Terrain

Reshape the ground around you to overcome challenges, excavate underground tunnel networks, carve out shelters, or simply leave your permanent mark on the galaxy.

Deployable, Modular Bases

Harvest unique planetary resources to construct and expand your base. Structures and vehicles are compressed into tiny, easy-to-carry containers that can be deployed anywhere, at any time. Ready to leave orbit? Pack up your vital modules and easily take them with you to the next planet.

During your journey, master your energy and water supplies to stay alive, unlocking advanced tech that will carry you deeper into the cosmos.

Seamless Procedural Worlds

Fly seamlessly from deep space down to the surface of procedurally generated planets. Each planet features its own unique atmosphere, gravity well, weather patterns, and biomes. Every horizon holds new, undiscovered dangers.

Master Surface and Space Flight

Scale rugged planetary terrain and conquer the skies with a fleet of specialized vehicles designed to support your mission. Ranging from Rovers, Spaceships, and Space Pods, each offering a unique control experience. Carry resources across the surface in Rovers, or take to the stars in Spaceships and Space Pods. Transition seamlessly from planet surface exploration to deep-space flight, in both first and third person view perspectives.

Survive a Hostile Universe

Space is unforgiving. Every fully explorable planet presents unique hazards, from aggressive native flora to extreme atmospheric conditions. Brace yourself against blinding sandstorms, freezing blizzards, raging tornadoes, and the unknown hidden mysteries.
