A thorough "how to play" write up can be found on itch.io and in the Game Manuals

CardConquest
Also include is the beta of CardConquest, a two player, turn based strategy game where players try and capture their opponent's base or destroy all their units. Choose between the Infantry Commander and Tank Commander and fight for supremacy on your tiny island. There is no luck or RNG involved in winning battles. It is all based on your armies combined power, which is modified by the card each player chooses to modify their attack power. Cards can have special abilities that will alter the outcomes of battles if specified conditions are met. Good luck battling!

Note: This game is in beta. Two player online multiplayer only. No singleplayer version available

Features

  • Turn based strategy
  • Choose between two "commanders" - different numbers of units and different cards
  • Reinforce battles from adjacent tiles - choose wisely!
  • Cards are played to modify battle outcomes
  • Strategically sacrifice cards to maintain higher powered cards
  • Destroy enemy units with your card's attack power (the sword sprite)
  • You can always see what cards your opponent has available before a battle. Plan accordingly!

A thorough "how to play" write up can be found on itch.io and in the Game Manuals.

I also created a game development blog/tutorial for creating CardConquest, which you can read through here:
Additionally, the source code for CardConquest is available on github:
Between the two, you can see for yourself just how bad I am at coding!
