Spam Runner 2

Spam Runner 2 is an adventure platformer that takes the player on a journey across several cartoonish worlds where they’ll interact with fun and exciting characters, all in a race to dethrone and become the next Spam Runner!

UNLOCKABLE SKILLS

The skill tree makes up the core progression and replay-ability of Spam Runner 2, by allowing the player to select and swap out skills and upgrades at any time. Choosing the right skill set could be the difference between a World Record and 2nd Place.

Sprint - The first and most basic of the abilities, it is the foundation that embodies the beginning of your journey through the worlds of the SPAM RUNNER.

Wall Jump - This ability seems very basic at first, but experienced Runners can really squeeze value out and show off their skill expression.

Teleport - Where your Runner uncovers the deep history of the Runners prior, while manipulating their own position and velocity in the blink of an eye.

Glider - A simple tool that allows the Runner to turn their height into speed, and vice versa. It is a vital asset for any Runner looking to beat out their opponents through speed and maneuverability.

Grapple - The most versatile tool in the Runners arsenal, allowing you to climb, swing, and zip to the top of the leaderboards.

RACING AND TIME TRIALS

Each race in Spam Runner 2 is a replayable level that allows your Runner to come back and achieve quicker times and experiment with different skill sets. These levels can just be a simple "find the quickest way to the exit" race, or they can involve checkpoints that the player is required to reach in order to win. Finding the most optimal route is a big part of Spam Runner and can be quite exciting when you finally beat your personal best.

WACKY CHARACTERS AND EVEN WACKIER DIALOGUES

The characters that make up the world of Spam Runner 2 are remnants of a civilization long past, with not a single Runner left to fuel the world's races. The people left behind, or rather the sentient animals and objects, are the cornerstone of Spam Runner 2's themes and story. While most are quite dumb and not very insightful, some more notable characters present your Runner with challenges, quests, and grant “Potential Essence,” which is the currency used to upgrade and unlock more skills!

STORY

The worlds of the Spam Runner are located in a different galaxy to our Earth’s. A galaxy where “Human Potential” is an abstract, galaxy-wide constant that can be tapped into and manipulated by the Human’s of these worlds. Humans were able to harness these new found powers to rapidly increase their technological and magical evolutions, until the first Spam Runner came along, discovering their greatest potential was to be the fastest being alive. For generations, Runners from across the worlds aspired to become the next Spam Runner, until suddenly, on a random Tuesday, every Human vanished, leaving their pets and household items behind to fend for themselves. This is where your Runner awakes, to a galaxy abandoned by its former rulers, left with one goal, to become the next Spam Runner!
