About the Game

Space Sucks is a cozy single-player trash-recycling adventure about keeping the cosmos clean and tidy.

You play as an intergalactic trash collector aboard a retro-futuristic spaceship. Each day brings new types of litter, and it’s your job to sort, clean, and recycle it with your trusty wearable vacuum, accompanied by REN, your Relentlessly Enthusiastic Navigator. Together, you’ll spend 12 days on the journey back to Earth, balancing piles of space junk with the ups and downs of interstellar companionship.

Gameplay flows through two main phases:

Morning Prep - a quiet, no-time-limit phase where you can chat with REN, harvest fruit in the greenhouse, blend smoothies for daily power-ups, scan nearby planets for recycling opportunities, water plants, recharge machines, and plan your route for the day.

Recycling Shifts - time-limited sessions where waves of new litter spawn across the ship. You’ll need to vacuum, process, and recycle as efficiently as possible to earn Space Coins, which can be spent on machinery upgrades and perks to prepare for the next challenge.

As you collect Space Coins from each recycling shift, you can invest them in upgrades - improving your machines, unlocking new perks, and enhancing your ship to take on bigger challenges. Whether it’s faster recycling gear, sturdier machinery, or ship systems that make your daily routine a little easier, every upgrade helps you stay ahead of the cosmic clutter.

After the chaos of recycling shifts, you can unwind in the ship’s lounge - explore strange trinkets discovered among the trash, relax, and uncover more about REN and the lore of your mission.

Do you have what it takes to tidy the galaxy, one piece of cosmic litter at a time?

Add Space Sucks to your wishlist and follow our socials @redmeatgames to stay in the loop - REN insists!
